THE LEGEND BECOMES THE BIKE
Giacomo Agostini and MV AGUSTA have created a legend in the world of motorcycling. This association was born in 1965 thanks to the intuition of Count Domenico Agusta who saw in the youngster from Bergamo a valid team mate that could support the unforgettable Mike Hailwood. In reality, Agostini never played that role but instead immediately imposed himself to the eyes of the passionate fans like the rising star of motorcycling. A few months were sufficient to see him overcome his team mate during the Nurburgring Gran Prix. This victory, obtained on the circuit considered to be the most difficult of that time, marked the beginning of an era that lasted seventeen years, in which period the union Agostini-MV AGUSTA won fourteen world titles, ten victories in the Tourist Trophy and over 250 race wins. But Agostini is not just the rider with most victories in the history of motorcycling. Ago is the ambassador of our sport and of MV AGUSTA in the world. Favored by natural pleasantness ennobled by a film star-like smile and look, the man from Bergamo has learned to create and conserve universal and untouchable popularity. From unbeatable rider to a star of the big screen, from successful team manager (with the Cagiva GP) to disputed television opinionist, Agostini today is also the inspiration of the new F4 AGO, a motorcycle destined to become a tribute to motorcycle history.
